Then join us at our Event Planning in Parks workshop on May 6 to learn the basic steps for creating a successful event in an outdoor setting!

Participants new to event planning will benefit by learning six key steps to planning an event in parks, while those who have some experience can refresh their understanding of the outdoor event planning process.

Key topics:

  • Defining your event and acquiring permits
  • Creating a budget and fundraising
  • Acquiring entertainment and/or food
  • Marketing to your audience
  • Planning the physical details and logistics
  • Managing the day of the event

The presentation is free and open to the public. Light food and refreshments, and children’s activities are provided at no charge. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to reserve a space.

If you need interpreters or signing, please let us know at least 72 hours in advance, or earlier if possible.
