24th Annual Beacon Hill Festival coming up June 4!

Neighborhood institution features tons of family fun

On Saturday, June 4, Jefferson Community Center presents the 24th Annual Beacon Hill Festival, with fun for everyone in the family in this lively, diverse neighborhood. The festival will take place at Jefferson Park (3801 Beacon Ave. S) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Festival will feature entertainment by local schools and other performers. Festivalgoers will enjoy local food, carnival games, bounce toys, cotton candy, and with any luck, a warm sunny day.

People interested in being vendors, contributing to the silent auction, or volunteering, please call Doreen Deaver at 206-684-7481 or email her at doreen.deaver@seattle.gov.

In conjunction with the festival, Seattle Parks and Recreation will celebrate the launch of a Troops for Fitness grant, a two-year grant program from The Coca-Cola Foundation and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), which provides hiring opportunities to military veterans to instruct community fitness and nutrition classes through local park and recreation organizations. The grant celebration will take place at Jefferson Park at 11 a.m.
