Hope for Youth Grants support youth-serving organizations

**UPDATE: CLICK HERE FOR INFORMATION ON THE 2018 HOPE FOR YOUTH FUND**

Seattle Parks and Recreation has applications available for the 2016 Hope for Youth Grants. Hope for Youth Grants provide increased access to recreational, athletic, and positive youth development activities by providing administrative and scholarship support to youth-serving organizations in the Seattle area.

The main goal of the grant is to increase regular and on-going participation in sports or structured recreation activity by addressing economic and social barriers that inhibit youth from marginalized and economically distressed communities from accessing these services. A total of $42,000 will be made available to reduce the cost of participation in organized activities and to promote active and healthy engagement.

An information session on Hope for Youth funding and process will take place on April 23rd at Garfield Community Center (2323 E Cherry St., Seattle) from 10 a.m. to noon.
