Bus access to Magnuson Park just got easier for north Seattle residents. Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) has worked in partnership with the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) and King County Metro (KC Metro) to establish a 90-day pilot to modify Route 62. As part of the modification, Route 62 is now entering Magnuson Park around Building 30 in order to turn around. This turn-around loop through Magnuson Park occurs during weekday evenings after 7 p.m. and all day on weekends. Changes to the route began on March 26 and will be piloted through June 25. The pilot period allows for SPR, SDOT and KC Metro to evaluate the route changes and listen to and respond to community concerns.
