Seattle Parks and Recreation and EarthCorps will host the fourth annual Celebrate Urban Nature event at Magnuson Park on Saturday, March 30, from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Events will take place at the Magnuson Park Community Center gym and auditorium, 7110 62nd Ave. NE.
Activities include musician Johhny Bregar who will perform “Dragonfly” and other kid favorites, the Roving Reptiles Show, Turtle Theater with storyteller Alan Hirsch, and Animal Encounter’s “special spring animals” petting farm plus live exotic bugs from around the world, and an appearance by locally famous gardening guru Ciscoe Morris.
There will also be art and nature activities, including a Nature Explorers Lab, nature themed carnival, and interactive booths from numerous organizations, including the Just Frogs Foundation, Bats Northwest, Sarvey Wildlife Care Center, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Family admission is $8 or $3 per person.
