When: Sunday, September 30, 2012, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Volunteer Park/Black Sun sculpture across from Seattle Asian Art Museum.
What: A large gathering of neighbors and friends at the park will spend four hours cleaning up the areas surrounding the reservoir. Free Top Pot doughnuts and coffee with tools and supervision provided by Seattle Parks and Recreation.
Background: This fun volunteer cleanup is the launch of major new organization, The Volunteer Park Trust, who in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Seattle Parks Foundation are starting a major long term effort to restore, revitalize and protect Seattle’s world famous historic, Olmsted designed park.
