Seattle Parks Foundation will host the Lake Union Park Mobile Chow Down on Thursday, July 21, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Lake Union Park, 860 Terry Ave. N.
Chow from local food trucks will be available for purchase. Maximus Minimus will be serving their famous pulled pork and veggie sandwiches and the Molly Moon’s truck will be there scooping up their signature homemade ice cream. Other food vendors include Kaosamai Thai and Lumpia World.
There will be live music from the country/folk/rock band Country Lips. This event is free and open to the public.
Lake Union Park opened in September 2010. It is the newest urban signature park for Seattle Parks and Recreation. The 12-acre park features a model boat pond, restored shoreline habitat and native plants, a beach for hand-launched boats, 300-foot interactive fountain, sculpted landforms for children’s play, tree grove with benches, waterfront boardwalk and terraced steps at the lake. It is the future home of the Museum of History and Industry, which is slated to open in the renovated Armory Building in 2012.
