Seattle Parks and Recreation is seeking neighborhood input about potential improvements to Christie Park. Parks created a survey to collect citizen feedback about the current use of Christie Park and future park and recreation needs. We encourage your participation as it will help guide future decisions about the possible improvement of Christie Park. http://seattle.gov/parks/projects/university_uv/
The Parks and Green Spaces Levy, passed in November 2008, provides funding for a variety of Park acquisition and development projects. The levy identified the University District Urban Center Village for a potential neighborhood park acquisition—such as an addition to Christie Park.
Located in the University District at NE 43rd St. and 9th Ave. NE, this neighborhood park offers grassy areas to picnic and a basketball half-court. The information collected over the next two months will serve as a basis for discussion about the future of Christie Park and its potential expansion.
