Music is back on Jackson Street
The community is invited to enjoy Music Back on Jackson Street on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 12 noon – 5 p.m. in Flo Ware Park, at the corner of S Jackson Street and 28th Avenue S.
This community fun-fest will feature a free concert with a special musical tribute to jazz legend John Coltrane; a barbeque, including halal items; face painting and basketball. There will also be dunk-a-cop in a dunking booth with officers from the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct. This event is free and open to everyone.
Music Back on Jackson Street is presented by the Leschi Community Council, the Seattle Neighborhood Group, the East Precinct Crime Prevention Coalition, Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center, Seattle Parks and Recreation, Seattle Police Department, Seattle City Attorney’s Office, and Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.
